I bumped into this Business Journal report on Sporting News' list of Best Sports Cities. Minneapolis-St. Paul ranks No. 18 this year, which is a drop from our No. 10 ranking last year. Still, Sporting News called the Twin Cities' "a sports hotbed" and gave a nod to the Twins, Vikings and Wild, saying there's a little something for everyone here. The list includes 400 U.S. and Canadian cities evaluated by number of sports teams, the teams' won-lost records, game attendance and stadium quality, among other factors.

Marni,
just read your little article in the Fall 2008 issue of MEETINGS - MN HOSPITALITY JOURNAL. Just a reminder.. please don't assume that your reader is familiar with acronyms. I've been in the industry for 17 years and I had never heard of ISES. Your article mentions it repeatedly - in fact is all about ISES - and there is no reference to what it stands for. I had to look for it on the web.
just fyi.

Thanks, Dave. I'll keep that in mind. We also print an index of these association acronyms in every magazine (in the fall issue it's on p. 59).
