It's that time of year when the hotels around town start promoting Valentine's night specials. Have you ever participated in a Valentine's Day stay? Sometimes I think it's fun to take a night and stay in our own Twin Cities. Not only is it often less expensive then going somewhere out of town, it helps our local hospitality economy and creates a new-found appreciation for the cities in which we live.
+ I just received a press release that the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington Hotel is being hailed for its creative V-Day package: One night’s stay in a deluxe guestroom for two from $169, champagne or sparkling cider, chocolate covered strawberries, $50 voucher for the Bloomington ChopHouse or room service, robes, turndown service and late check-out of 3 p.m.
+ Geri at Eventful Ramblings made mention of the W Hotel - Foshay's sexy package for couples, which includes a unique spin-the-bottle game, bottle of bubbly and late check-out. Add on dinner at Manny's or a couple drinks in The Living Room and you'll have quite the fun evening.
+ The Saint Paul Hotel always offers two different Romance Packages, with goodies such as tuxedo strawberries (I've had them - they actually look like little tux-dressed berries!), champagne, breakfast, turn-down services and more. (Special Note: Attendees to our State of the Industry event will find a gift card in their bags from The Saint Paul Hotel, good toward one night's stay!)
What other specials have your heard about around town? Where will we find you on Valentine's Eve?
