Kudos to metroConnections for snapping up a 2008 Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME) Achievement Award for Best Innovative Event, $50,000 or under, which President Sam Thomson accepted at the ADME annual conference in San Antonio, Texas. This is the second time metroConnections has won in this category. The event was a 25-year anniversary reception and dinner in Miami during spring 2008 for a Minnesota-based client. metroConnections gave it a creative spin with a "CSI: Miami" theme, complete with a high-tech crime lab. Well done metroConnections!
Recognition is also in order for Chambers, which, according to Meet Minneapolis' Twitter account just won a 2009 Tablet Hotels Selection Award from Tablet Hotels, "the authority on unique luxury hotels and boutique hotels worldwide." Founded in 2002, Tablet Hotels is a Web site that focuses on reviewing and aggregating unique, extraordinary hotels and lists 1,500 properties worldwide. This is the first year the site has given these awards, and Chambers was one of 300 hotels worldwide to receive the distinction. Congrats to the Chambers crew!

Marni,
Thanks for the shout out to Chambers. I just learned that only 54 hotels in the United States made the cut and Chambers was one of only three in the Midwest. It's a terrific honor for the hotel and the Twin Cities.
Thanks again.
